What does it mean by "hidden from students" for the task in my course?

In the context of FacDev, when a task or resource is marked as "hidden from students," it means that the task or resource is not visible or accessible to students who are enrolled in the course. In other words, students cannot see or interact with this particular item until it is made visible by the course instructor or administrator.

This feature is often used to control the release of course materials or activities. Instructors can prepare content or set up activities in advance and then reveal them to students at a specific time or based on certain conditions. For example, an instructor may choose to hide a quiz until a designated date or until students have completed a prerequisite activity.

Here are the steps to make a task visible to learners:

  1. Turn edit on.
  2. Choose “edit” next to the task.
  3. Select “Make available” from the dropdown list.
  4. Check Visibility: To confirm that the task or resource is now visible to learners, you can switch your role to view the course as a student would. Make sure the item is accessible as intended.
